Shy people are selfish people

Why do I say that?! Think about it shy people are usually very worried or concerned about what other people think about them. But, generally speaking the other people are too busy thinking about themselves, their own wants and needs and don''t think so deeply about the people around them. So, shy people shouldn't worry so much! In fact shy people are easily and soon forgotten about as soon as they are out of sight. Shyness isn't a good personality trait, change it. Time and time again I meet lonely, attractive Japanese women and Japanese men are who are – shy.

A true story: a 30's guy went to a "goukon" to meet a possible girlfriend. A goukon is a small party, usually around 4 to 6 people with an equal number of men and women. As he told me of the experience he gave me a lot of details about the men in attendance but almost nothing about the women. A typical Japanese view might be that the man was "too shy" to ask questions, however the way to overcome shyness is to ask good questions and let the other person talk. That way the other person talks and the shy individual listens. This is common sense.

Shy people, stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about others. That is what popular, and friendly people do, they think about how to help others enjoy life, and listen to and help others solve their problems. So don't be shy, learn to ask questions so that people have to respond with other than yes or no. Be interested in other people, and people will think you are interesting and like you because you are interested in them. Then you will make friends!
