Dating Japanese Women is Like Football

For all you guys who are really into sports but don’t quite understand dating and how to pick out the right woman for you, here’s a little help. Think about dating Japanese women as if it were football. In football there are a lot of decisions to be made to manage a team properly. Just apply those rules to the Japanese women you come across when you are out. Here’s how:

Choose your starters

In football the coach chooses which players are going to start the game, and naturally they choose the best players to be part of the starting lineup. So when you are checking out the Japanese women wherever you may be put the best ones on your list of potential “starters.” Just remember, great starters need the most attention from the coach and should be managed well, or they will find another team to play on.

Keep the benchwarmers on the sidelines

The players who are not in the game are called benchwarmers because they sit on the sidelines while other (better) players are in the game.  If you are dating more than one woman at a time(and you should because Japanese women have a lower interest in sex than women from other cultures), the time will come when one of the women will no longer meet your sexual expectations. When that happens, it’s time to put her on the sideline and go with one of your “starters.”

Know when it’s time to trade

In football, teams trade players all the time to try to improve the quality of their teams. If you and your girlfriend have not been getting along, or you find that that both of you are, as Japanese girls say, ”too busy,” it’s time to make a trade.

As with any good coach, when the time comes to “make a trade” with a Japanese woman in your life, you are going to have to break the news to her that you don’t think the relationship is going to work out. In other words, you’re going to tell her that it’s time to cut your losses and trade her to another team (but don’t use those exact words). Soften the blow by taking the blame for the failure of the relationship. Make it clear that it is not her fault; you have just decided that you want something different and that it is time to move on. Be kind and be gentle. You don’t want to ruin your “player” for other teams – you just want to get a better player. End ALL sexual contact immediately.

Know the rules

Football has rules, just like all sports do. The “game” of dating is no different. When ending a relationship, do it in person. Show some class. Breaking up with a woman via e-mail or text message is crude and shows that you have no class or style. Do it in person, at a café or inexpensive restaurant.

Another rule of “making a trade” in your dating life is this: don’t tell your friends that you are going to break up with a woman before you have actually done it.

Remember, dating is a game, just like football. The best teams win, and the worst teams lose and keep trading and eliminating players until they find the right combination. But a good coach always handles this part of the game with style, kindness, and class. You should do the same when dealing with your dating life. Who knows – even if a Japanese woman has turned into a “benchwarmer” who needs to be “traded,” you might find one day that she will want to rejoin the team!

What are some other similarities between dating and football?

When was the last time you realized that you needed to “make a trade” in your dating life?
